On April 18th, the fourth of six POP-UP events for entrepreneurs in the Riga region, titled "IT GROWS IN PARTNERSHIP!", took place in Mārupe Municipality. More than 30 entrepreneurs from the Riga region gathered to build new partnerships and gain knowledge and inspiration in the field of energy efficiency.
The aim of the event was to promote and discuss activities and measures to enhance energy efficiency in SMEs, including the concept and functioning of energy communities. The thematic focus of the event was to share and discuss existing opportunities and support instruments available to both businesses and households for implementing energy efficiency measures. The event was held in "Business Garden Rīga," a new office campus built and managed based on sustainability and energy efficiency principles.
Invited Speakers Covered the Following Themes:
- Energy Communities: How they operate and best practice examples in Latvia.
- Energy Efficiency Support for Entrepreneurs: Financial incentives, programmes, and conditions for application.
- Ongoing Development Projects and Initiatives in Energy Efficiency in Riga Planning Region.
Inga Brieze, RPR Coordinator of the EU LIFE ENERGATE project, presented initiatives and EU projects being implemented in the Riga region to promote energy efficiency. The ENERGATE project was highlighted, focusing on the development of the ENERGATE platform, its features, and services for building owners, accompanied by a video presentation of the platform. Participants were also informed about the 2nd Regional Workshop of ENERGATE scheduled for 29 May in Riga.
