The building sector accounts for approximately 36% of global energy use and is a major source of greenhouse gas emissions. While energy-efficient renovation offers immense potential, widespread adoption is hindered by financial, regulatory, and informational barriers. The MODERATE and ENERGATE projects aim to overcome these challenges through smart technologies and innovative market mechanisms.
ENERGATE is focused on creating a digital energy efficiency aggregation marketplace. This platform connects building owners, energy service companies (ESCOs), and financiers—helping streamline investment packaging, standardisation, and risk management
